Power and control¶
This page describes how to connect the miniDSP ADept to power, and the USB connection needed to set sample rate.
Power¶
The supplied 12 VDC power supply includes a set of interchangeable power pins (for USA, UK, Europe and Australia). Fit the correct pins for your country. Connect the DC plug to the 12 VDC power socket.
Apply power to the ADept only after all input and output connections have been made. When not in use, the ADept can be placed into standby mode with the remote control or front panel. When applying or removing power, the following sequence is recommended:
-
On: Power on line-level equipment, including the ADept, then turn on power amplification.
-
Off: Turn power amplification off, then power off line-level equipment, including the ADept.
USB connection¶
The USB port is used for recording audio. In addition, it can be used to set the sample rate when the ADept is used in standalone mode. Connect the USB Type-C port on the ADept to a free USB port on your computer.
If longer cable lengths are required, an active USB extension cable can be used.
